Summary/Abstract: In the last decade it was possible to get an overview to the Roman smallfinds, especially pottery, from Passau. So it was possible to reconstruct the beginnings of this place. The first military fortification has been built on the eastern end of the peninsula between the rivers Danube and Inn near an ancient harbour during the sixties or seventies of the first century A.D.
