Summary/Abstract: Blesok - literature and other arts, is the first online magazine in Central and Eastern Europe. The first issue was published on March 12, 1998. The text enabled the Slavic field to present itself in the shape of e-journal in order to affirm the Slavic literatures and cultures through their presentation and translation in both Macedonian and English. This year, in the same time the International Slavic Congress is held, Blesok is celebrating a small anniversary. The text is written with the purpose of becoming and remaining a part of the Slavic studiesmemory, because memory has the power to both regenerate the past and affect the future. If we take as a starting point the idea that in semiotic terms, cultural memory presents itself astext within text, culture within culture, as well as the recognition that culture is a combination of peripheral (border or frame), and central (middle or centric) text, than we can safely say that through the creation of a Slavic cultural treasury, Blesok promotes his own Slavic and especially Yugoslav cultural memory.
