The upcycling method is the replacement of waste or unused materials for reuse and another purpose, and the design and manufacture of a product or item by increasing its value. Using the upcycling method, transferring our traditional values carefully stored in the boxes with an original perspective to sustainable fashion design, preparing innovative clothing designs, emphasizing reusability with an artistic and aesthetic point of view within the concept of sustainable fashion, and creating awareness and awareness about sustainable fashion design are among the aims of this study. Sustainable fashion can also be described as the continuation of our culture and traditions within the scope of social sustainability, and the transfer of our culture and traditions to present and future generations. In this context, in the light of the information obtained by examining the upcycling method in the context of the literature, designs were made with names such as headscarf manuscripts and corridor sack jute, which have taken their place in dowries. For the design, firstly a storyboard appropriate to the subject and then a collection of 9 pieces was prepared. A sample garment in 1/1 of one of the designs was produced. It is thought that this study will set an example for the studies to be conducted. It is emphasized that it will contribute to sustainable design in the field of art and design by revealing its concrete value in today's contemporary fashion and sustainability concept.
