Summary/Abstract: The article is an attempt to show the assumptions and development of an integral ecology in the teaching of Francis and Bartholomew I, Patriarch of Constantinople. Both shepherds are deeply convinced that ecology is a deeply ecumenical and inter-religious subject. The author analyzes various aspects of ecology, referring to the spirituality and theology specific to both rites. The article ends with an interview with Bartholomew I, conducted in 2017, devoted to environmental issues.
