Summary/Abstract: The time between sexual maturation and marriage has increased significantly during past decades. This situation can be the result of various factors and one of these likely variables is people’s schemas about interpersonal relationships. Thus, current study aims to compare early maladaptive schemas (EMSs) in single and married females. For this purpose 150 female university students completed the Short Form of Yang Schema Questionnaire (YSQ-SF). Results indicated no significant difference between two groups’ EMSs. This finding shows there are other important factors effecting on people’s decision and attitudes about marriage, and we cannot consider EMSs as the only effective variable.
