Summary/Abstract: This paper has the purpose to identify the place that literature should have in a foreign language class. It aims at showing what aspects we should consider when bringing a literary text in a French class and also the effects that the literature might have upon the development of students’ skills and upon cultural enrichment of those who are ready to accept its importance.
