Summary/Abstract: Purpose - Employee productivity is an undeniable truth for business profitability and continuity in healthcare sector as well as all sectors. Job satisfaction has become one of the most focused matters to increase employee productivity for the recent century. This study has been conducted to determine the job satisfaction levels of healthcare professionals. Design/methodology/approach - 568 healthcare professionals working at the private hospitals of Erciyes, Kızılay, Tekden, Medikal Palace and System that operated in Kayseri province were included in the study, which conducted between the dates of January – March 2020. The population of the study consisted of 1250 employees of the relevant hospitals. In the study, it was aimed to reach the whole population, and no sample selection was made. Within the scope of the study, 700 questionnaires were distributed and a usable return was provided from 568 of these 700 questionnaires. Thus, the rate of return for the questionnaires was 81%. A Personal Information Form with 7 questions to obtain socio-demographic information of the healthcare professionals and Minnesota Job Satisfaction Questionnaire were used in the study. SPSS (Statistical Package for the Social Sciences) 25.0 software was used for the analysis of the data obtained from the questionnaires. In the statistical analysis, Kruskal Wallis test and Anova test were performed, and Tukey HSD and LSD tests of the multiple comparison tests (post hoc) were performed to determine which group caused the difference. The significance level was accepted as p0.05). Discussion - The job satisfaction levels of the employees are required to be kept high in order to increase employee productivity and the profitability of the hospitals. In the Covid 19 pandemic, factors affecting the job satisfaction should be analyzed in an objective way, and employee turnover and unproductiveness should be tried to be kept at minimum level.
