Summary/Abstract: Since the Ottoman Empire's policy on the Caucasus contradicted the policies of states such as Iran and Russia, which had interests in this region, the Ottoman Empire was contented with only providing moral aid to the Muslim population of the Caucasus. The first and only opportunity of the Ottoman Empire to enter the Caucasus region was with the Brest Litovsk Peace Treaty signed between Soviet Russia and Germany, which was the Ottoman State's ally in World War I. after the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917. In order not to miss this opportunity, it started military operations in the region right after the signing of the agreement. In order to help the Turkish and Muslim peoples in the region and to carry out their own state policy, the Caucasian Islamic Army was established and this army became the only place of hope against the Armenian-Bolshevik atrocities of Turks and Muslims in the Caucasus. Both the Azerbaijan Democratic Republic established in the South Caucasus and the Mount inous Republic in the North Caucasus saw the Caucasian Islamic Army as their savior, and took part in the massacre against them with the help of the Turkish soldiers who settled in the region. However, the Armistice of Mondros, signed by the Ottoman Empire in 1918, made this aid short and the Caucasian Islamic Army had to withdraw from the region in accordance with the provisions of the agreement. This put the newly established states in a weakness against the Bolsheviks' Red Army, the White Army of the tsarist supporters, and the Great Britain, which adopted the mandate from the Antante states and ultimately the newly established republics were removed from the stage of history with the invasion of the Bolsheviks.
