Summary/Abstract: Violence among schoolchildren is an old phenomenon that only recently has become a social problem worth of pedagogical and psychological attention because it has short-term and long-term negative effects on a large number of children. Both children and adults have become used to violence and often fail to see how dangerous and harmful it is. The very awareness of violence existence in schools opens a number of questions related to the prevention of such behaviour. No question of these complex problems must be marginalised. The main objectives of prevention programmes are prevention of violent behaviour in a school environment and outside it, and prevention of other negative phenomena in this connection. It is important to start carrying out preventive activities at an early, this especially refers to parents and teachers who are the nearest to a child in its early age.
