Summary/Abstract: First, the administration and correspondence archives of the newspaper editors are presented or their archive history is reconstructed. Then archive holdings are presented that originate from the issuing party institutions. After 1953, however, it was not possible to establish a clear, but merely changing responsibility of party offices, often without any clearly identifiable reference. Therefore, the topic of the German minority in Romania was included in the accessible archives of the Romanian Communist Party (henceforth: RKP; Roman Partidul Comunist Român / PCR2) from 1949 onwards due to the finding aids currently available in the General Directorate of the Romanian State Archives (Roman Arhivele Naționale ale României) and the district offices of the State Archives (rum. Servicii Județene ale Arhivelor Naționale) in the historical settlement areas of the German minority in Romania. With regard to the inventory descriptions, this guide focuses on those archives for which no finding aids were created as part of the project.
