Summary/Abstract: Through the narratives of the local population, the authors reconstruct the symbolic and practical aspects of family life in the Lovinac region through the 20th century to this day. Intergenerational mutual assistance is considered in the work as an element of family and social basis, important to the discourse, and on a practical level of everyday life (especially between parents and children) and indicates to the definition of these relationships in practice.
