Summary/Abstract: Form as a structural element gives us as a cinema audiences some clues. These clues are classified and hidden through syhuzet, thus evoking tension and curiosity in the audience. Thus, syhuzet mediates the manipulation that the artist wants to achieve on the audience. While the cognitive and emotional processes that the viewer will experience throughout the story are shaped by form, it is almost impossible to think this independently of stylistic elements. At the narrative level, time-space unity, character actions, knots, conflicts and solutions achieve their purpose only by the correct arrangement of the elements of the scene. From the first idea to the stage of the scenario, the shooting method, the importance it attaches to editing, the understanding of reality, the visual arrangements he made in time and space, the way of expression he lived with the camera - camera movements, height, angle - image editing, lighting and many other elements of the scene. Throughout the design is key to the director's style. The goal of the director is to create the visual tone of the story throughout the film, rather than creating a beautiful image for each scene alone. The director, who can skillfully play with the visual structure elements, conveys the general tone of the film to the audience through these elements of the scene. The color that adds meaning to all these as well as the light, the costume, and the space has a great effect on the emergence of the universal emotion patterns (light, sound, costume, etc.) that the film offers us as much as other stylistic elements. This work; Hayao Miyazaki's 5-award-winning cult movie My Neighbor Totoro focuses on the relationship between color and emotion.
