Summary/Abstract: The text speaks of the priest and linguist Šime Starčević and especially about his homilies. It concerns his work Homilies from 1850 when homilies were arranged through the church year. The structures of the homilies are observed, the characteristics of Starčević's approach to the subject and functionality of homilies in his time.
