Summary/Abstract: Presented in this paper is the work and historical-publicist work of Mons. Mile Bogović Ph.D, historian and Gospić-Senj bishop upon his 75th birthday, 50th anniversary of his priesthood and 15th anniversary of his episcopal service. In the analysis his activity and printed works are approached through a prism of inculturation in a given time and space. With regards to the time of his work especially emphasised is his openness and willingness of collaboration with theholders of power at the time of the single-party communist system in the plan of culture as a mutual starting point, and with regards to the space emphasised are the incultural elements which came to the fore most in the study of local church and social centres which is centred on the area of the present day Gospić-Senj bishopric and the Rijeka metropolis. As an eminent factor of inculturation in the church and national plan the Glagolitic script and Glagolism is a phenomenonthat marks the continuous interest of Prof. Mile Bogović.
