Summary/Abstract: The tactics and the military equipment played a very important role in the events that took place at the Lower Danube in VI-VII centuries. This article studies the tactics, weapons and armours of the slavs, avars and byzantines and the military changes made by the byzantines in order to adapt to the nomadic warfare.
