Summary/Abstract: The Gospel of Peter is one of the most discussed apocryphal gospels. The text is preserved only in fragmentary form in a parchment codex (Akhmim codex) from sixth or seventh century, but the original text probably emerged in the second part of the second century. The short text only includes the part of the passion and resurrection narrative, narrated in the first person singular, although the narrator Simon Peter narrates scenes where he was not present. The present article begins with an short introduction to the Gospel of Peter, briefly discussing the main issues related to the text, editions and scholarly debates, continuing with the translation of the text into the modern Serbian language.
