Summary/Abstract: The aim of the study is to reveal the intellectual structure of the articles on voluntary tourism,one of the topics studied in the field of tourism in recent years, with a systematic literature review and to reveal the trends in this subject. For this purpose, the articles on voluntary tourism scanned in the Scopus database published between 1979-2021 (January) using R software were analyzed by bibliometric methods. In the study, the number of publications by years, keyword analysis,common word network analysis, author and journal information, co-author collaborations,citation analysis, number of publications of countries and cross-country cluster analysis were included. As a result of the analysis, it was determined that the most articles in the Journal of Sustainable Tourism (43 articles), the most articles on the subject belong to the year 2020 (64publications), and the number of articles has increased over the years. In the co-citation analysis,Wearing (2001) is the strongest author on the network. In the cross-country cooperation analysis,it was determined that there is a strong relationship between USA, England (UK), Australia. In the analysis of the relationship between keywords, “Volunteer Tourism” was found to be the word with the strongest network. The results of the research offer tourism researchers a panoramic view of the articles written in the field from a broad perspective.
