An Online Research on Cittaslow in the Aegean Region: The Case of TripAdvisor

Summary/Abstract: The concept of "citta slow" that emerged in Italy has become a very popular concept in Turkey for the last 10 years, especially in the tourism sector and academic studies in the field. In this direction, the purpose of the research is; situated in the Aegean Region of Turkey and slow city"cittaslow” chosen from Seferihisar, Akyaka, Yenipazar and Koycegiz visiting domestic andTripAdvisor in 2020 foreign tourists comments they have made via the website is to analyze by subjecting the content analysis. There is no comment about Yenipazar in the comments made on TripAdvisor in 2020. According to the research findings, the total number of visitors who left comments on the other three destinations was determined to be 151. The positive and negative experiences of domestic and foreign tourists in these destinations are categorized separately for each and presented in the findings section. For the three areas, the majority of the visitor votes were "excellent" and "very good". When the percentage of the total votes of each area is calculated,the slow city that received the most “excellent” votes by visitors was Köyceğiz.
