Summary/Abstract: Increasing international travel restrictions have hit the hospitality industry and, as in all economic sectors, have led to a reduction in the workforce, resulting in job losses. The main purpose of this study is to evaluate the effects of covid-19 on hotel employees’. In this context, it was aimed to determine the difficulties, opportunities and threats experienced by the employees of the five star hotel during the Covid-19 epidemic process and to evaluate their thoughts and expectations regarding future plans. For this purpose, data were collected with a total of twenty-nine participants working in hotels operating in the Beşiktaş region of Istanbul via online interview form. The obtained data were analyzed by content analysis. As a result of the research, it was determined that during the covid-19 epidemic period, hotels planned a process management without harming their staff and took various hygiene measures. It has been concluded that the process creates economic difficulties for the employees, poses a threat within the scope of job insecurity, and creates opportunities for sector change and personal development. However, it is another result that most of the employees do not think of a change in their career planning in the post-covid period.
