Bibliometric Analysis of Postgraduate Theses on Slow City

Summary/Abstract: This research aims to evaluate the postgraduate theses written on slow cities with bibliometric analysis method. The research analyzed theses which were published in Turkey between 2010-2020. The data were included in the search term section of the YÖKTEZ database with the keywords such as "cittaslow" and similar terms were scanned on the dates of 10.11.2020 and11.11.2020 and it was established that there was a total of ninety-nine postgraduate theses in the related field. Ninety-four postgraduate thesis were analyzed as, because of some restrictions, five theses could not be accessed. The type of thesis, the institute, the title of the advisor, the department, the university where the research took place and the year it was published were evaluated within the scope of parameters. To analyze the data which was the subject of the study,percentage and frequency distributions were examined; bibliometric analysis was used. It was concluded that the studies on slow city criteria and on slow cities increased in 2019 and it was researched by many different departments.
