Summary/Abstract: The moral ideal of authenticity is the highest image of what the Self should be and what the Self should aim for, as an intentional consciousness and as an organizing principle of imaginative, sensory, volitional and conceptual material, in the process of discovering and materializing unique truths about the ways we are in the world within the work of art. Literary value is not an entity - an autonomous product. It is defined by the moral ideal of authenticity, as the volitional sphere of consciousness of the creative subject. There can be no artistic value in a literature which, because it is incapable of confronting self-awareness and in order to avoid that consciousness, sabotages the moral ideal of authenticity, thus creating moral conditions for the silent replacement of the authentic Self with the non-authentic Self. The cognitive capacities of the literary mind are determined by the typology of relations (reactive or active) that the creative Self establishes with the world: partial / complete; external / superficial; internal / deep. Superficial relations with the world will push the non-authentic Self into the "production" of objects and events in order to overlap an "order" in the non-authentic relationship it establishes with the world. The superimposition of objects and events "produced" in the literary work, make the "discovery" of the authenticity of man's relationship with the world and with the objects in it an impossibility. A good literary work does not "produce" objects to "perfect the order" of things within the model of the human being's relationship with the world and things in it. It only makes it possible to "discover" the state of that relationship that already exists in its temporal context. In the absence of the moral ideal of authenticity, in the Albanian literary activity, not only has the integrity of the consciousness of the Self become vulnerable, but, due to the inability to enter into a relationship of creative interaction with the emancipatory reason, the Self - as compensation and justification for it’s own inability - will enter into an interdependent relationship with the instrumental reason, to fall into the state of the non-authentic Unit. The non-authentic self is the most faithful friend of schematic worldviews and perspectives, which are the greatest enemies of the readers emancipatory consciousness!
