Summary/Abstract: This article is an attempt to illustrate, to a certain degree, the history of Serbian Orthodox Church in Slovenia. The central part of the story is the 20th century, the expanding of Orthodox Church in Slovenia during that period of time, and the beginning of the conversion of the Slovenians into the Orthodox and the suffering of the Church during the World War Two. This is the first time to view the events that have caused that the Orthodox Church become the integral part of a Serbian Metropolitanate. Slovenians were not capable, as Czechs after the World War One were, to restore orthodoxy and restate new autonomous and autocephalous national Orthodox Church. The resent history and the church life of this part of the Serbian Metropolitanate of Zagreb and Ljubljana have also been treated in the text.
