Summary/Abstract: The importance of statistics is increasing day by day. As an example of this, statistics are used in different branches of science - business, economics, sociology, biology, medicine. Statisticians, with their researcher identities, contribute to the country's finance, economy, education, health, politics, etc. They also contribute to the solution of social problems by conducting research on important fields such as As a result of the importance of statistics as a field, this subject is taught as a course in many departments of universities. The main purpose of the research is to determine the attitudes of the students towards the statistics course; The aim of this study is to reveal how variables such as gender, department, class, and course attendance have an effect on the formation of attitudes. In the study, a 30-item scale was applied to 218 students who took the statistics course in the 2016-2017 academic year in the departments of Business, International Relations and Tourism and Hotel Management, Faculty of Economics of the Turkish World, Azerbaijan State University of Economics, which constitute the research sample. It was determined that the scale, which was gathered under 4 factors, explained 51.3% of the total variance, and the internal consistency coefficient was calculated as Cronbach α=0.914. Whether the gender difference has an effect on the attitudes towards the statistics course with the T test; ANOVA test was used to determine whether the difference in department, class and course attendance levels had an effect on the attitudes towards the statistics course. According to the findings, it can be claimed that the scale has the necessary validity and relevance features to adequately measure students' attitudes towards the statistics course.
