CREATING AN ECONOMIC ORDER QUANTITY MODEL FOR MORE THAN TWO REPLACEABLE ITEMS BY ENSURING OPTIMAL CASH MANAGEMENT

Summary/Abstract: One of the main problems of inventory companies that order different product types is to find the EOQ by keeping the total costs to a minimum. Having a substitution feature for more than 2 products is the way to find the best reorder point and demand level for the product that reaches 0 in stock. In the process of substituting inventory types, it determines the upper and lower levels of cash flow and the point of return by using the Miller-Orr model, one of the firm's optimum cash method models. Establishing the EOQ model for substitutable products by determining the cash level has a positive effect on keeping the firm's total costs and expenditures in balance. The purpose of this research is to calculate the EOQ model of substitutable products by selecting and applying the most appropriate of the optimum cash management models to the financial processes of companies working with inventory orders at large scales. The data obtained from Özsüt Azerbaijan enterprise covers finance and order quantity issues. In our country, there is not much room for researching the subject or using it in practice. By doing this research, EOQ is to ensure that the substitutable products and the Miller-Orr model are used in the same process and to keep the firm's total costs and expenditures in a balance. Based on the research results, the establishment of the EOQ model in optimum cash management is considered more appropriate for companies working with larger inventory orders.
