Summary/Abstract: When reflecting upon the current trade union situation In Europe, we are In a position, when the ruling classes In the West as well as In the East feel powerful enough, to settle accounts with those employed. A 'socialism knocked out' and a 'disintegrated communism' are of course in favour of such a development. It seems that after many decades, 'triumphant capitalism' has a new opportunity to shape working relations according to its own image.
