Summary/Abstract: Starting from the critical analysis pertaining to this legal dialectic, by identifying the criminal policy pathology which permeated the legislation regarding the incrimination of vagrancy and mendicity, the purpose of this article is to ascertain the deficiencies of crimes relating to behaviors considered eo ipso as being deviant. Moreover, being aware of certain norms specific to matters such as Social Security Law, Labor Law and the particular framework of juvenile criminal responsibility, this article shall focus on the key legal aspects falling in the scope of the incrimination of vagrancy and mendicity.
