Summary/Abstract: After The Great War, the first concern of the Romanian State was to help those who were disabled, orphans and war´s widows, the military´s survivors dead on the battle field. For solving this problem, it was set up, in 1916, a Society for defending the disabled and war´s orphans. The purpose of this special society was to defend them morally and physically. Alongside this one, the army had an important contribution in solving their institutionalization problem. „Houses” for invalids and war´s orphans were set up, which were social places developed in military´s buildings. In this article, we would like to present the activity of a few special places, from military organization of Dobruja, where were refugees invalids and war´s orphans, from the beginning of 1920th.
