Summary/Abstract: Between the years of 1829-1837, Alfred Cortot published an edition including Chopin etudes Op.10 and Op.25 about explaining rational practice method, at the beginning of every etude under the title; “Difficulties to overcome”. Cortot takes prominent characteristics of the difficulties and gives for them mere formulas as pianists to overcome difficulties with ease. This study will examine Frederick Chopin’s Etudes Op.10 no:4 and no:5 and includes gaining efficient and correct practicing habit for pianists. Frederick Chopin is one of the prominent composer lived in early romantic era (emotionalism). Besides creating pieces, being a virtuoso pianist leads him enormous contribution to the piano music also helped using whole capabilities of the piano masterly. As his many pieces in many forms and genre, also his original thoughts in the domain of etude were pioneering. At the beginning, etudes were short pieces for mere technical exercise, but after Chopin, etudes became storytelling, independent compositions.
