Summary/Abstract: In this study, two of the 6th grade Turkish textbooks prepared by the Ministry of National Education and the other by a private publishing house, and two of the 7th grade Turkish textbooks prepared by the Ministry of National Education and one by a private publishing house were examined and evaluated. Since the study is based on a qualitative research, the qualitative research method was used and document analysis was conducted. It has been examined whether the texts are suitable for the theme or not. In addition, the language messages in the texts were also examined and subjected to examination. It has been observed that the fairy tales and fables in the textbooks are compatible with the theme they are in, that is, they are selected in accordance with the theme. It was concluded that the language messages of the fairy tales and fables included were capable of providing positive behaviors to the students.
