Summary/Abstract: In parallel with China’s rise, the Atlantic order has lost its power. This article focuses primarilyon America’s response towards China’s growing power and, consequently, more claimswithin the international system. Free and Open Indo-Pacific narrative which is formulatedby Japan and frequently highlighted and conceptualized by Trump administration, coverselements of containment strategies against China as well as geographical description. Unionof QUAD, consisting of America, Japan, Australia, and India, see Indo-Pacific concept as ageopolitical term and cooperates under the leadership of America to encircle China in thisdirection. ASEAN, which is seen as a key component of the struggle in the region, is anotherformation that America needs to cooperate with.
