Summary/Abstract: The article attempts to respond to Pope Francis’s appeal to deepen Marian dimension of life and the young people’s mission in the Church and the world. The aim is to demonstrate that the example of young Mary is credible for them, because she accompanies them on the path of their calling as the one who herself gained such experience earlier. Following in her footsteps, the young can bring in the beauty of youth to the Church as well as they can help renew the Church in order for her to become ever younger. After that, quoting pope Francis, I put emphasis on the four model qualities of Mary for the young to imitate, i.e.: faith, hope, brotherly love, and joy. These mark out the basic structure of my reflections. They spring from the apostolic exhortation Christus vivit for the young, from the three most recent papal addressees for the World Youth Days, as well as from papal speeches given for the opening and closing of the Synod on young people. There are also references to ordinary Pope’s teaching on Mary, a young girl, who helps the young people discern and courageously embrace their life vocations.
