Summary/Abstract: Knowing of pause and initial forms is very important segment in tadžvid and qira'at science. Proper pronunciation of harfs keeps the meaning of the Qur'anic words, and proper pausing during the recitation of Qur'an preserves the meaning of the Qur'anic sentence. Word to which the pause is done may be associated with the following text formally and semantically, or just by meaning, but it can be formally and semantically independent. The three of these situations are the basis for the classification of pause forms and determine the rules of their application. Qira'at variants based on different syntactic flexion of Qur'anic words sometimes alter the type of pause form in the Qur'an, which is discussed in the following text.
