Summary/Abstract: The article presents an analysis of linguistic methods of communication present on the official website of the Polish Ministry of the Environment. Described are the language and style of communication used in the main part of the website and in the content of Ministry’s entries on the social networking site – Facebook. A separate chapter was dedicated to the linguistic correctness of texts the authority directs to Internet users.
