Summary/Abstract: Kosovo academic Feti Mehdiu is celebrating his seventieth birthday and forty years of fruitful academic work in the field of Arabistic studies. It is a good occasion to draw attention to him as the translator of the first complete translation of the Qur'an into Albanian language. In addition to his twelve books, Feti Mehdiu is the author of hundreds of papers published in different periodicals. He was observed as a participant at a number of conferences dedicated to the interpretation and translation of the Qur'an. He is one of the founders of the poetics of translation of the Qur'an and an extremely prolific author of works of this kind. His works on the translation of the Qur'an published in periodicals in the Bosnian /Croatian/Serbian language confirm that Feti Mehdiu is one of the most prolific Albanian Arabists in cooperation with the media in the Bosnian /Croatian /Serbian language.
