EDUCATION IN TIMES OF CRISIS: ARTISTIC EDUCATION ON VIDEO PLATFORM

Summary/Abstract: In this study I’m trying to examine what has happened, from the educational point of view, during this spring, when the two months of lockdown, caused by the Covid-19, forced us to revaluate our pedagogies, in a practical and philosophical sense. The online learning (and online teaching, of course) was and still is a challenge, especially in the field of artistic education, where the physical presence of the teacher and his colleagues are almost irreplaceable. My observations are based on a set of questions that students from the Theatre Faculty of the G. Enescu National University of Arts from Iaşi (Romania) were invitedto answer. At the same time, I focus on some recent issues such as: public and private space on video platforms, economicdiscrimination (the luxury of having an internet connection), slow reaction, in times of crisis, of the Departments for TrainingEducational Staff and so on.
