Summary/Abstract: All the theories about the actor’s art imply a meeting point. It does not matter where such a point is, it is important thatit exists, that it defines the objectives to follow and leads to the same ends. In theater schools, the term method is not alwaysunderstood correctly. Thus, „acting” is not the same as actor’s art, performance is not synonymous with creation, and alsolearning does not mean to assimilate a system. In the Experimental Workshop, we are searching for the path, the process, or the set of procedures through which one can fi nd out his own solutions, his own truths. In a word, we are looking for the method. The great dramatic art schools and the famous theater pedagogues (Stanislavski, Tairov, Meyerhold, Michael Chekhov,Grotowski) sought to discover the path to the radiant center of the actor’s creativity, which, once activated, naturally triggersthe miraculous phenomenon through which all the aspects of the living character’s birth are met.
