RESEMANTIZATION OF MYTHICAL SYMBOLS IN ALI PODRIMJA'S POETRY

Summary/Abstract: The poetry of Ali Podrimja marks that form of writing where modern features areentirely prevalent. In this paper, we will study symbolical language as the representativefeatures of his poetics. Given that symbols are diverse, it was seen as necessary to analyse acertain typology, which is why we focused on the mythological symbols. There is alsoanother reason for this and that is because this return to myth is one of the most typicalfeatures of modern day poetry and it has been used as a way to build the apocalyptic vision ofthe world and to convey the universal spirit.subject, the new meaning these symbols are associated with and the figures of speechgenerated by this field in poetry. A special entry has been dedicated to the classification ofsymbols based on their frequency of use and to the explanation of results referring to thepoetical context where each use has appeared. The order in which symbols appeared wasnever random, but always denoted a certain meaning, which oftentimes reflected images fromthe historical reality.
