The Theme of Deification in the Theological and Literary Heritage of Peter Mogila, the Metropolitan of Kyiv

Summary/Abstract: The personality of Metropolitan Peter Mogila is always considered in the light of Western influence on Orthodox theology. The author of this article thinks of soteriology as the most important part of ecclesial doctrine and therefore examines the theological and literary heritage of St. Peter for the subject of deification, the presence of which could demonstrate his faithfulness to the patristic tradition.
