Summary/Abstract: The coexistence of the forms of direct and representative exercise of public power is an indisputable sing of the democracy of the modern state and society. The various forms of direct democracy provide an opportunity for real civilian control, strengthen people’s confidence in their ability to determine their own future and contribute to overcoming existing dependencies, as well as to restoring trust in institutions.
