Summary/Abstract: The most important connotation of icon in the orthodox world can be founded in the Holly Liturgy. In this concern, is necessary to understand the profound meaning of the icon. It is also very important to contemplate the liturgical moment in which we can find this very importance of the orthodox icon. This is of course the Holly Liturgy, sacred time in which the Church has the space to consecrate the matter and the spirit. In the present research it is presented the theological relation between the icon and man transfiguration in the time (or across) the Holly Liturgy. Our arguments are integrated in the liturgical background.
