Summary/Abstract: The purpose of imprisonment in a prison is not only to imprisonment itself, as it was mostly accepted by the turn of the 19th and 20th centuries, but its more important goal is to motivate prisoners to moral integrity and reintegration in the post-release phase of execution of punishment. So-called treatment programs aim to achieve this. Thanks not only to the biological, psychological or social nature of man, but also to his spiritual nature, the Church's contribution to the recovery of society is its resocialization activity in prisons. We find stimulating impulses in the prison activity of the Italian priest Jan Bosko and the Czech clergyman František Řezáč. After comparing the wazy of resocialization of prisoners in both pioneers from the ranks of priests, research follws on the acceptance of such resocialization of respondents.
