Summary/Abstract: Artificial intelligence (AI) applications already allow the detection and control of threats, the management and simulation of the operational environment, the rapid collation and processing of information, the rapid delivery of tactical, operational, and strategic analysis to decision makers. The opportunities offered by AI in conducting combat action have led the major players in the international security environment, such as the US, China, and the Russian Federation, to embrace a race to develop the weapons of the future, based on this emerging and disruptive technology.
