Summary/Abstract: If today's world operates using excessive publicity and self-praise, promoting its own image at all costs in competition with the image of others and the products of others, the Church of Christ must effortlessly avoid the temptation to advertise itself.Today’s world is capacitated by material and exterior efficiency, by the accumulation of material goods and by their permanent re-investment, the material and technological culture reaching frightening heights, all while the inner man has stayed and stays the great unknown. Church culture is inner man culture, heart’s culture and the culture of our inner motivations and our being. People are deceived that they can achieve unity by developing the material culture of seen unity, while the Church calls people to inner unity in the Spirit. It is no coincidence that, through the work of God, our century has enjoyed a rebirth of the philocal and monastic tradition, which emphasizes inner work, repentance, and humility, calling man to meet and unite with God within, in his heart.
