Summary/Abstract: Although there was strong support for National Socialism among the Germans of Vojvodina, a significant part of them fought fiercely against the idea of Nazism. The anti-Germans in Vojvodina were grouped around the Catholic Church and the vicar Adam Berencz was their leader and apostle. There is written evidence of this struggle, Adam Berencz's weekly „Die Donau”, published between 1935 and 1944. In this paper, we analyze editorials written by Berencz through 9 years.
