Summary/Abstract: The article begins with a general presentation of the organization of the Swedish prosecution authority. Further, with a view to the role of the prosecutor, information is given in respect of the judicial practice during the criminal investigation and the court proceedings. Under this aspect, it highlights the a few differences between the Swedish and the Romanian systems, putting an accent on the procedural law. The activities carried out by the special units raised interesting aspects and new legal problems in comparison to the Romanian judicial practice. The digital Cåbra system of cases registration proves the high steps taken by the Swedish prosecution authority in dealing with cases, being recommended for the Cåbra system to be a role model for the Romanian procedure.
