Summary/Abstract: The article is focused on the issue of environmental learning and environmental education (ENE) in the current educational practice. Based on the analysis of the subject matter in our country and abroad, we have formulated the basic postulates of the improvement of the undergraduate training of elementary school teachers in the field of environmental education. They are concretized in the form of tasks aimed at fulfilling the expected positive changes.
