Summary/Abstract: Ther article analyses the importance of upbringing and education in the society and with it connected formation of personality of a man. It continues by analysis of the existing negative phenomena in Slovak society with determination of the procedure to eliminate them on the basis of creation of independent, identitcal and socialised personality connected with the life of society.
