Summary/Abstract: The academic communities of North Macedonia and Greece received a new creative horizon for international cooperation which is possible because of the so-called Prespa Agreement which was signed by both sides on 17.06.2018. North Macedonia and Greece have been negotiating for decades through the UN to resolve the name issue, which was a direct problem for co-operation in other spheres of public life, but the leadership approach of the leaders of both countries finally ended the temporary Agreement signed in New York on 13.09.1995. The author of the paper focuses on Article 15 of the Prespa’s Agreement, which refers exclusively to cooperation in science, education, research and other things that have been in the background for a long time or with a modest effect. By analyzing the scientific and educational context of the agreement, and presenting the media environment after the signing of the agreement, the author emphasizes the prospects of the region that has a real chance for better development, unencumbered by political problems that were more dominant in this period. The win-win situation of the Prespa’s Agreement can mobilize universities, experts, scientific societies and the civil sector, and personally the Prespa region as a major creative aggregate.
