Summary/Abstract: Association of Police Forces and Gendarmerie with Military Status of European and Mediterranean (F.I.E.P.) is an association of police and gendarmerie European and Mediterranean countries, united around a common element, namely their military status. A first moment of the creation of the association was a tripartite meeting in Paris in February 1993 between Directors and Captains General of the French National Gendarmerie, Carabinieri of the Italian and the Spanish Civil Guard. Membership can be paid the gendarmerie and police forces with military status of the member states of the Council of Europe and other Mediterranean countries. It is the organ of decision F.I.E.P., consisting of all its members. During the annual meeting, it defines the general policy and program for each of the commitments undertaken by the association.
