Summary/Abstract: The media are part of everyday life of children and adults. Television and its range of programs are included in the life of younger school children from different cultural environments. The educational process in schools uses television where different educational elements are applied. Contribution in addition to theoretical sources on the subject provides an overview of the results of the partial research, which among other things deals with the impact of television on children 7–10 years old of different cultural environments and the need for media education in primary education.
